Using a free printable template, discover just how easy it is to make these mini envelope and notecard junk journal embellishments.

The mini envelope and notecard template helps you to design cute printable junk journal embellishments in no time at all. Using this template you can easily assemble the envelope in various different ways to create different types of embellishments.

The template is available in two different formats, a pdf format that is perfect for easy printing, and a png format that gives you more flexibility when designing.

You can use the template to create as many sets as you like, and you can also customize the design by using different digital papers.

With the flexibility of the template and the ability to use different digital papers and embellishments, the possibilities for creating unique embellishments are endless.

Design the Mini Envelope and NoteCard Printable Junk Journal Embellishments

The free printable template comes in pdf format and png format. The pdf format template makes it quick and easy to print. The png format template allows you to design using multiple digital papers.

Design Using the PNG Template

Open the png template in a photo editing program. I’m using Affinity Photo.

Add a digital paper and move it to a layer underneath the template. At this point you could save and print. It’s that easy to use the template.

As well as using just one digital paper you could also add two or more different papers and position them under specific sections of the template.

Once you’ve completed the design, you can save the file in jpg format and store in a folder on your desktop for future use. You can print the file directly from the photo editing program or any other type of program that supports jpg files. Print onto good quality cardstock.

Design Using the PDF Template

While the png templates give you more flexibility when designing, you can also print a set using the pdf template file.

When using the pdf template file, you will first need to insert a patterned or colored paper into your printer. Then open the pdf file in a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader.

Make sure the “page scaling” option is set to “none” to ensure that the template prints at the correct size. The wording of this option may be different depending on the type of reader that you are using.

Print the file onto good quality cardstock.

Assemble the Mini Envelope and NoteCard Printable Junk Journal Embellishments

Once the file is printed, cut out all the pieces.

Using a creasing tool, crease the top, bottom and side sections of the envelope.

Fold all the sections toward the back and press using a bone folder.

Fold the side sections over. Apply some double sided tape along the left and right edges of the bottom section, fold over and press in place.

Insert the cards, fold the top section over.
