The path of dreams is not always easy, and sometimes we give up on our dreams too soon simply because the going gets tough. Looking at things from a different perspective or considering a different direction can really make a difference, and instead of allowing our dreams to fade and die, they simply turn into something even better than we imagined.
For this art journal page I wanted to work with techniques for creating grunge-like texture on the page. Once again things didn’t go quite to plan, which is sometimes the way our dreams end up, but when times get tough we can either give up or change direction. It’s sometimes not an easy choice and I almost gave up on this page half way through feeling like I’d made a wrong turn down a dark alley. But I persevered and in the end I finally got some lovely texture on the page which was a perfect background for my story.
